Roadtrips, Music, Donuts, and Movies

Roadtrips & music…what else should summer consist of?

Lucky for me I’ve taken a few road trips over the past couple of weekends and boy oh boy I’ve discovered so many new artists and basically my ears are happy.

My current music obsession is a band called Oh Honey. Yes, that’s their name. I am obsessed with all of their ep songs, they aren’t that known but they are so freaking good.

Maybe you’ve heard one of their songs such as “Be Okay” or “Sugar You”. If you want mellow happy music I recommend you check them out.

But of course they have other songs that are just as good. But so far those are two singles that they are playing on the radio.

Life Update:

Some of you may or may not know but I work part time for a private school and their graduation is coming up so I’ve been pretty busy helping out and stuff. Today I left my house WITHOUT my earphones X(

But at least we got donuts today 😛 Plus my hazelnut coffee….yaas 😀

If you know this or not but I’ve posted several videos on my youtube channel:

Tomorrowland Movie Review:

Scorch Trails Trailer Reaction (excitement intensifies):

Flash Season Finale (with brother):

Plus more other vids too…

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

Movies Tag, Hot Topic, Downton Abbey, and New Book

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a good day…or night…or afternoon?

So if you know this or not Hot Topic was having a ‘Hot Mess’ sale where they sell really cheap stuff and I couldn’t help myself so I bought a couple of things…

On the left is a key necklace and on the right is a cool binocular necklace.

Sadly you can’t actually see through the binocular necklace 😦

This is a cool cartoon batman with the joker hoodie I also bought. On my recent YouTube vid I’m wearing it:

Last but not least I bought at the bookstore (not hot topic just to make it clear) This Shattered World which is the second book of the Starbound series. The first book was called These Broken Stars which lucky for you I reviewed. You can watch it here.

I’m very excited to start reading this gem and you can expect a review about it once I’m done reading it lol

Anyway if you’re a fan of Downton Abbey (like I am), I reviewed the first episode of season 5 here. 😀

Well that’s about it for today. Have a good weekend 😀

Arrow TV Show & Comic Books

Hey guys,

So I decided to write today because I feel like I don’t write enough (I mostly film reviews instead of actual ‘blogging).

This morning I woke up feeling a bit sick (who gets sick in the summer?)  😦

I decided to chill out and watch Netflix. I’ve been wanting to watch the TV show Arrow for a long time but never got around to it. Plus the new TV series ‘Flash’ is coming out this fall and I REALLY wanna watch it.

Long story said short and 8 episodes in, the show is awesome.

If you don’t know, Arrow is based off the DC comic characters, one of them (the main one) being Oliver Queen. It’s great watching a TV show based on comic book characters instead of a random TV drama.

I strongly believe comic books have great characters and mostly character development. Comics usually explain why a character (either good or bad) is the way they are (back story included) and how they deal with the current situation.

I intend to continue watching this series and start watching ‘Flash’ as well.

I’ll probably research more about these characters in the DC comics. It’s fascinating to read about a comic book hero/villain.  😀

Yes, I am trying to get into comics.

Well that’s my little post on what I’ve been up to. I hope you’re having a great summer!

I would like to take this time to notice that the Great Gatsby won….that movie is one of my fav movies (along with the book thief). So I am beyond happy the great gatsby took home two awards.

Lets just take a moment of silence for Leonardo DiCaprio and his non-existant Oscar. *bows head and waits in silence*

Moving right along I am also happy that Gravity took home A LOT OF AWARDS…like seriously I can only imagine what the DVD will have written on it : Academy Award winner for *list 10 awards*.

This years Oscar was funny, I have to give it to Ellen for being a great host she was funny and that selfie pic was historical.

not to mention the whole ordering pizza and the stars eating it too.

All in all the thing I love most about the Oscars; it is soooo classy. Every person that walks into the theater looks like a movie star/ royalty regardless of who they are and what they do. But I understand that Hollywood life isn’t glamorous (I’m talking about the people who make movies….not random celebrities that are famous for nothing). I understand the movie world is no joke. Editing is tough, acting is tough, directing is tough, writing is tough, serving food to actors can be tough…..I presume.

So here is my quick little video talking about a few of the categories:

Happy Movie watching!

Sherlock Season 3 *SPOILERS* and THOUGHTS

So someone mentioned I should do a Sherlock Spoiler video talking about the things I liked about the 3rd season so I did! But on the downside I ran out of memory in my SD card so I couldn’t film a whole lot of it…but that is why I have this lovely blog!

So heres the video:

Now that you’ve seen the video here are the other spoilers I wasn’t able to include:

EPISODE 3:

When Sherlock visits his parents home with his brother Mycroft, I loved seeing his parents and how they react as a family. Also in the end of the episode you really see that Mycroft actually cares for Sherlock. At first I was sad about the ending thinking Sherlock was gonna be gone forever *cries* BUT when everyone was seeing Moriarty in all their screens they called him back *best feeling ever of joy*. It was funny how he was only gone for like a minute and the world is back in trouble. 😀

Also the evil guy (sorry I forget names) when we were lead into his house we thought he had a literal vault with information of everyone but instead it was an empty room…his ‘mind palace’. Like what the heck!? You’re trying to copy Sherlock or something!? I wonder if that guy is somehow tied with Moriarty…for some reason I hope they are (bigger challenge for Sherlock).

Now lets get to Mary….wow….what can I say? I wanted the creators to take her character far and make her important and they really did! When we first meet Mary we see her as a normal woman who is in love with John but in the last episode we really see who she is and one of the parts that broke my heart was when Sherlock was re-deducing her he realized she had liar written all over her. How did Sherlock not see this before? But anyway I’m glad that John forgave her in the end and I think it was a bit stupid that he didn’t see her flashdrive card….I really wanted to know who she was. 😦

I would talk A LOT more about this season but I’ll leave it up to you guys to watch it and let me know what you think! 😉

Happy TV watching!
